Olympian Tool is searching for a CNC Mill Machinist for its St. John’s facility. This position is responsible for programming, setting up and operating a computer numerical control (CNC) machine to produce precision parts is the responsibility of a CNC operator. Ensure products meet precise specifications in accordance with specifications and per company standards by performing the following duties.
Department: Manufacturing
Shift: Days – Full Time
Supervisor Responsibilities: None
Duties/Responsibilities:
- Minimum 3-5 years experience running CNC milling machines.
- Must have good mathematical skills.
- Ability to read basic to complex blueprints.
- Work to tolerances of +-.0005.
- Use various types of measuring equipment.
- Work as a team player.
- CNC Machine shop background.
- Experience with HAAS machining centers.
- Ability to perform program edits.
- Must be willing to work overtime.
Education Requirements:
High school diploma, G.E.D., Certificate; with trade school experience preferred.
Experience Requirements:
Must have Minimum 3-5 years’ experience running CNC milling machines.
Skill Requirements:
Strong troubleshooting skills and think logically about solutions; mechanical skills to read blueprints and schematics. Knowledge of the properties and characteristics of metals. Knowledge of safety precautions related to occupational hazards, procedures and practices of the trade.
Physical Requirements:
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk or hear. Frequently required to stand; walk; use hands to fingers, handle or feel; and reach with hands and arms. The position requires frequent lifting, pushing and pulling objects that are 50 pounds or heavier.
